Providers & Platforms

The CSP / CPaaS landscape for 10DLC registration, plus the utility tools — lookups, policy generators, deliverability monitoring — that brands actually use.

All CSPs route to the same Campaign Registry — they differ in markup, sole-proprietor support, and self-service vs managed UX. Pick by how much hand-holding and how many sub-brands you need, not by registry price (the TCR fees are identical).

Tip
Telnyx passes TCR and carrier fees through at cost, which makes it the cheapest path for cost-sensitive senders. Twilio has the deepest self-service tooling and a Low-Volume Standard path. Bandwidth is a tier-1 carrier/DCA — good if you want to become your own CSP.

Becoming your own CSP

TCR’s direct customers are CSPs; a brand can’t self-register without one. “Direct TCR access” means becoming your own CSP — a $200 one-time CSP registration (recurring platform costs are separate). Only worth it for high-volume senders or ISVs managing many sub-brands.

Utility tools brands actually need

  • Phone / carrier / line-type lookup — scrub landlines & VoIP before sending. Twilio Lookup (Line Type Intelligence ~$0.008/request), Numverify, Abstract API.
  • Number reputation / “Spam Likely” checkers — Numeracle Free Caller ID Test, Hiya Caller Reputation, Ring4.
  • Privacy policy / SMS terms generators — TermsFeed, Termly, iubenda, GetTerms.io (most have A2P/SMS clauses). Or use our Privacy-clause generator.
  • Deliverability monitoring — provider status callbacks + error codes (e.g. Twilio 30007 content filtering, 30023 T-Mobile daily-cap hit), Messaging Insights dashboards.
Watch the delivery stat
The widely cited “~99.2% delivery for registered senders” figure can’t be traced to an authoritative primary source — treat it as vendor marketing. What is confirmed: unregistered traffic is 100% blocked since Feb 2025.
