A2P 10DLC
The US carrier-mandated framework for sending automated SMS/MMS from standard local numbers. Register your brand and your campaigns in The Campaign Registry, or your traffic is blocked outright.
A2P 10DLC is how a business earns the right to text US mobile subscribers from a standard 10-digit local number. Since February 1, 2025, unregistered 10DLC traffic is blocked 100% by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon — there is no longer a “just start sending” option.
Registration is hierarchical. You register one Brand (your verified business identity), then one or more Campaigns (your message use cases), then attach phone numbers to each campaign. All of it flows through a CSP (Campaign Service Provider) such as Twilio, Telnyx, or Bandwidth — you cannot register directly with The Campaign Registry .

One Brand can hold many Campaigns; one Campaign can hold many numbers (except Sole Proprietor, which is capped at one). Each carrier reviews and approves your campaigns separately.
