Fees move on a schedule
TCR publishes scheduled increases (the latest confirmed bump was Aug 1, 2025: brand $4.00 → $4.50, standard vet $40 → $41.50). Carrier surcharges change even more often. Verify every amount against the primary TCR PDF before quoting it to anyone.

One-time registration fees

These are charged once, at registration. The TCR brand fee depends on company type; Sole Proprietor is the only one that’s cheaper.

ItemFeeNotes
Brand registration — Private Profit$4.50BRAO0PRI · raised from $4.00 on 8/1/2025
Brand registration — Public Profit$4.50BRAO0PUB
Brand registration — Non-Profit$4.50BRAO0NON

The $4.50 brand fee (raised from $4.00 on 8/1/2025) applies to Government, Non-Profit, Private Profit, and Public Profit brands. Sole Proprietor remains $4.00 and includes its OTP identity verification.

Vetting fees

Vetting is optional but it’s the main lever on throughput (see Trust Score and throughput). A standard vet produces your 0–100 Trust Score; Enhanced is a deeper manual review.

ItemFeeNotes
Third-party Standard Vet (WMC or Aegis)$41.50Automated 0–100 Trust Score · raised from $40 on 8/1/2025
Enhanced Vet (Aegis only)$101.50Manual deep review · requires a prior Aegis standard vet
Political Vet (Aegis)$66.00 / $96.00Email/standard PIN vs express-mail PIN
Auth+ Vet (Aegis)$12.50Lets Public Profit brands create campaigns
Standard vet appeal$11.00
Failed standard / enhanced vet$5.00 / $6.00Charged even on failure

Note the failure fees: a failed standard vet still costs $5.00 and a failed enhanced vet $6.00 — vetting is charged even when it doesn’t help you.

Recurring per-campaign fees

Each active campaign carries a monthly fee set by its use case. These are often billed three months upfront at campaign creation.

ItemFeeNotes
Campaign verification/vetting (DCA, per submission)$15.00Carrier/DCA fee — NOT a TCR fee. Each resubmission costs another $15.
Recurring monthly — Standard (2FA, Marketing, Mixed, Notifications, etc.)$10.00 / mo
Recurring monthly — Low Volume Mixed$1.50 / moCPBMSLOV
Recurring monthly — Sole Proprietor$2.00 / moCPBMSSOL
Recurring monthly — Charity / 501(c)(3)$3.00 / moCPBMPCHA
Recurring monthly — Emergency$5.00 / moCPBMPEMR
Recurring monthly — Agents & Franchises$30.00 / moCPBMSAGE

Most standard use cases (2FA, Marketing, Mixed, Account Notification, Customer Care, Delivery Notification, Political) run $10.00/month. Low-volume and Sole Proprietor campaigns are cheaper; Agents & Franchises is the priciest at $30.00/month.

T-Mobile-specific fees

T-Mobile layers its own charges on top of TCR’s:

ItemFeeNotes
Campaign activation (per new campaign)$50.00Since 3/1/2022 · excludes Starter tier
Special Business Review (SBR) per brand$500.00Required for >200,000 daily segments · legacy $5,000 currently waived
Custom NNID registration$2,000.00
Program-evasion fee$1,000.00

The $50 campaign activation applies to each new campaign (Starter tier excluded). The Special Business Review ($500/brand) is required only to exceed 200,000 daily segments to T-Mobile subscribers — and note that some pages still cite a legacy $5,000 SBR, which is currently waived; the live figure is $500.

Per-message carrier surcharges

On top of everything above, each carrier levies a per-message surcharge on every SMS segment, passed through to you:

CarrierPer SMS segmentNotes
T-Mobile$0.0025Effective Jan 19, 2026 (was ~$0.003)
AT&T~$0.003Inbound free
Verizon~$0.0031–$0.004Inbound free; historically highest
US Cellular~$0.005
MMS (all)~$0.0075–$0.015$0.015 top end (T-Mobile), not typical

A segment is 160 GSM-7 characters (or 70 for Unicode), so a long message bills as multiple segments. There’s also an industry registry/number fee of roughly $0.02/month per text-enabled number. Verify live as of mid-2026 carrier surcharges change frequently — these are the most volatile numbers on the page.

Worked cost scenarios

To make the stack concrete, here’s roughly what four common setups cost (illustrative — your CSP’s markup varies):

ScenarioTypical one-timeTypical monthly
Sole Proprietor (tiny)$4 brand + $15 campaign vet (no $50 T-Mobile activation)$2 campaign + per-message
Low-Volume Standard, no external vet$4.50 brand + $15 vet + $50 T-Mobile activation$1.50–$10 campaign + per-message
Standard + external vet (high throughput)$4.50 brand + $41.50 vet + $15 vet + $50 T-Mobile activation$10/campaign + per-message
Standard needing >200k/day to T-Mobile+ $500 SBR+ per-message
